  • I have a masters in clinical social work and am working toward obtaining my hours to become a licensed clinical social worker.**  My counseling is being supervised by a licensed clinical social worker.
  • I am available to do parenting classes in church or school settings or at my office.
  • Counseling appointments can be made for evenings or Saturdays.
  • Most sessions will run approximately 50 minutes.  If you are unable to make an appointment, please call and let me know ahead of time.
  • Payment is required at each session in the form of cash or good checks made out to Inside Out Ministries.   Suggested donation is $20 a session but any amount will be accepted.  At this time I am not accepting any forms of insurance or Medicaid.  All donations are tax deductible and go towards covering costs associated with the office.  I volunteer my time and do not receive a salary from the counseling services.

The counseling center is based on the following beliefs about relationships:

  • I believe that God created people with a body, soul (mind, will & emotions), and spirit.  To live the abundant life Christ died to give us, these three areas need to be in harmony with one another and in submission to Christ.
  • I believe in taking basic counseling principles and combining them with the power of prayer, the authority of God's word, and the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit to bring about positive change in our lives.
  • I believe that as our inside (thoughts, beliefs, feelings) change, our outside behavior (actions and words) will begin to change to reflect the inward change.
  • I believe in Hope. No problem or situation is too difficult for God to intervene in and transform for the good of everyone involved.

**Some people are confused about what the difference is between a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW)  when both are trained to do counseling.  Clinical social workers receive a broader range of training. We not only focus on the relationship issues but we also focus on other factors that contribute to the presenting problem such as housing, finances, spirituality, social justice issues, culture, psychiatric issues, medical issues, etc.
